Most of us live our life as if it is a scalar quantity. But the moment we realize our life is a vector quantity we tend to concentrate on direction of our life rather than magnitude of our life.

Scalar: Something which has just magnitude but no direction.
Vector: Something which has both magnitude and direction.

When we look at world and check at qualities with which we measure life of people, we come to know that they all have been converted into scalar by us. Marks, money, power, passion, age etc. . But in real they are all vector quantities and their directions should be towards goodness. Marks should direct students to improve their skills, money should direct earners to help those who are not in a state to earn, power should direct power holders to use it to get justice for those who seek it.
