While You Wait… by ‘The Secret Poetess’ #poetry

While you wait for the rains or hard justice,

While you wait for life to unfold,

Remember the patience of prophets,

Told in the good books of old.

While you wait for a cure or a baby,

While you wait for the world to go wild,

Remember the patience of prophets,

Abraham hoping for his child.

While you wait for the work to come in,

While you wait for a moment in time,

Remember the patience of prophets,

Joseph was jailed for no crime.

Perhaps prophets were there to remind us,

We’re born to have patience & grace.

While we wait we are made & re-modeled,

While we wait, we await our true place.
